If you cared to be informed, you'd see that there is also a Girls State program put on by the AL Auxillary.

I'm just curious, is there a reason why they're separated? I don't know anything about this program.

I have been in The Legion and the VFW. The seperate auxiallary each has was chartered at different times (much like Boy Scouts/Girl Scouts or Cub Scouts and Brownies or maybe Campfire Girls)

Thank you to your wife for her service. You've been given the tools Stanley, now it's time to use them and educate yourself..

Should add they are both very good programs and do a lot of good for our young boys and girls.

The Legion Runs Boys Nation and the Womens Auxilary Runs the Girls portion, both are the same in the learning of leadership and the study of the Constitution and political activities as well as many other qualities of leadership for our young.
