Fatima Middle & High School celebrated Junior Fest Week last month. Members of the Junior Class designed a “Junior Class Spirit T-shirt” which was distributed and worn by Juniors during the week.
The annual Junior Ring Day Celebration was held Oct. 20. This is a Fatima school tradition, held to celebrate the Junior Class becoming leaders and upperclassmen. This event is highly anticipated by members of the Junior Class. Students individually design their rings around a blue stone with the Virgin Mary and the year of graduation incorporated into the design. The rings are a symbol of each student's hard work and dedication to academics and serve as a reminder of their seeking Truth, their growing faith in God and charity. The blessing of the rings was performed during the Liturgy by Father Scott Pontes, celebrant.
The students worked with Ms. Deborah DeAngelo in preparing the Liturgy. Christina Melfi, a member of the Junior class designed and painted a banner for the occasion. Family and friends were invited to celebrate.
