RWU Celebrating Founder's Day on February 14
February 14 is special at Roger Williams University, and it's not because of Valentine's Day. Feb. 14, 2011, marks the 55th year since RWU's founding.
Bristol Town Administrator Diane Mederos '94 and Town Council Chairman Ken Marshall will read a special proclamation from the Town of Bristol at Noon that day, as part of the daylong Founder's Day celebration.
At. 4:00 pm, Professor of American Studies Michael Swanson will be joined by Peter Deekle, dean of the University Library, and RWU Honors Program students as they recount the history of Roger Williams University and its famous namesake. This takes place in the Mary Tefft White Center in the main library.
