The Robots Are Taking Over at RWU Saturday
Hundreds of young people from around the state, along with their robots, coaches and families will showcase their robots and research at the RI FLL (First Lego League) Robotics Championship Event this Saturday at Roger Williams University.
This event celebrates science, technology, engineering and math as 56 teams of 9-14 year olds challenge themselves to solve real-world scientific problems and engage in research, problem solving, engineering and robot design and programming.
The RIFLL FOODFACTOR Championship, hosted by Roger Williams University, is a pumped-up celebration of the work the teams have done throughout the season, which launched in September. It is much like a high energy sporting event, with referees that monitor and score the Robot Game. Judges review team presentations about their project, robot design and programming.
This tournament is free and open to the public from 11 a.m. to the conclusion at about 5 p.m. For more information, visit the group's website at: http://bit.ly/rhodeislandFLL.
