Baby Born on Route 136
Bristol Fire Department paramedics delivered the baby boy in the rescue on the side of the road.
Sometimes a baby just can't wait to enter the world.
That was the case on Route 136 last week when a local infant decided he didn't want to wait to get to the hospital before being born. Paramedics from the Bristol Fire Department helped deliver the baby on the side of the road last week, wpri.com reported.
The mother was on her way to the hospital, but the baby boy decided to come out early. Paramedics picked the expectant mother up and started driving toward the hospital when they had to pull over to perform the delivery on the side of the road.
After the infant was born, Warren police escorted the rescue vehicle to Women and Infants Hospital. Fire officials said that both the mom and her newborn are doing well.

Good job BFD & Paramedics ... this is becoming quite a routine but I am glad that we have the folks who can do it.
