Bristol and Warren Hereby Resolve To ...

What resolution would you like to see your town declare and keep?

It's Jan. 1, which means it's time for the resolution dance.

It starts lively. We boot bad habits, turn to good ones and leap into the year.

Some folks start the year by jumping into the chilly Atlantic — or simply watching.

Calendar pages flip and some forge patterns anew — exercing daily, eating salads and spurning fatty foods or cigarettes; and some return to familiar footing and the dance reverts to old rhythms.

What about a collective resolution?

What resolution would you like Bristol and Warren to accomplish?

Maybe it's more of something — or less.

Or it might be a clear-cut goal to make the towns better.

What would it be?

I'd like to see the shops in downtown Bristol and Warren stay open at night, Sundays and later on Saturday evenings, so the working people (and those with money to spend) can have the opportunity to shop locally. I'd love to be able to browse the shops prior to enjoying a great meal, but I never see any open. I simply forget they are there.
