Businesses come and go in every state and town. But how far back can you remember?
Today, Perella's is a restaurant with an extensive Italian and seafood menu. Adding to the hometown feel atmosphere, most customers are on a first name basis with owner and head Chef Louie Perella who can cook up a mean dish of authentic Italian food. But think further back and try to remember what other businesses inhabited this location before Perellas that you may have frequented in past decades.

Before the Old Venice, it was run for at least forty years by John Vincent and his wife, Adeline as the Moonlight Cafe. Served up some fine draught along with great chourico sandwiches.

The Old Venice was far from having the most inviting appearance but they made a great spaghetti sauce. Bring your own pot and they would fill it for take out. I'm getting hungry thinking about it.

The Moonlight Cafe was run by Teddy and Doris Rutkiewicz after the Vincents, before Frank Formisano his brother (I've forgotten his name)and wife Beverly bought the property and turned it into Old Venice. When I first came to Bristol and was looking for a job I applied for 'Bar-Maid' at Old Venice and worked there for awhile it was always and adventure!
