Do You Remember Dunkin Donuts on Metacom Avenue?
This week's location to get your wheels turning is Dunkin Donuts in Warren.
Businesses come and go in every state and town. But how far back can you remember?
Only in New England will you find numerous Dunkin Donuts shops on a main strip. Today, the Dunkin Donuts near the Bristol/Warren town line is one of three Dunkin Donuts on Metacom Avenue. This location is also home to a smiling Mr. Potato Head statue. But Metacom Avenue was not always so densely populated with donut shops. Think further back and try to remember what other businesses inhabited this location that you may have frequented in past decades.
Post your memories in the comments section below.

I remember going to Joe Brum's hardware store where the Metacom Dunkin Donut shop is with my grandfather in the 1950's or 60's. It a little bit of everything, you just had to locate it somewhere in the piles of inventory scattered about!

The Dunkin Donuts pictured was a repair shop and purchased by John Saviano who sold Toyotas when they first came to the US. He became prosperous selling the cars and moved to where Bristol Toyota is now. He sold the building to Donut Barn.
