One Bristol family is complete once again, as a beloved family pet returns home.
Weezy, a red-nose pitbull, disappeared from his yard on Jameson Drive, in the area of Metacom Avenue near the Bristol/Warren line, Monday afternoon. After owner Sharon Bonvino reached out the Patch and craigslist for help finding the 52-pound brown male with a white star on his chest, she got a call Wednesday afternoon reporting Weezy is safe and sound.
The family initially thought someone had taken Weezy out of the yard. It turns out the dog wandered away, ending up at the Dunkin Donuts on Metacom Avenue. A customer there took care of Weezy and took him back to her home in Somersaet, MA. She searched for news of a missing dog, finally seeing a post online and contacting Bonvino.
The family reports Weezy is happily back safe and sound at home.
