The Bristol Art Museum hosts local artists Friday to discuss the connection between art and the natural world.
Join the Bristol Art Museum and the Audubon Society of Rhode Island for an evening to appreciate art, education and the environment on Friday, June 15.
The reception begins at 6:30 p.m., followed by an exhibit and presentation at 7:30 by Kyle Browne on "Art & The Environment: The Artists Perspective," will be held at the Audubon Educational Center, 1401 Hope Street.
Please register by calling the Audubon 401 949-5454 ext 3041. The art talk is free and open to the public.
An exhibit using natural materials from the environment will be on display by three environmental artists, Allison Newsome and Candis Dixon, of Warren, and David Harrington, of Bristol. Kyle, guest speaker and art educator, will focus on the connections between art and the natural world, the artists' interpretation of nature from the past perspective to the current art movement and the artists who have contributed to an understanding of it.
