Lydia E. (Santos) Holt: Communicant of St. Elizabeth's Church
The lifelong Bristol resident passed away on Dec. 30, 2012.
Mrs. Lydia E. (Santos) Holt, age 83 of Broad Common Road, Bristol, died Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012 at the Silver Creek Manor Nursing Home, Bristol. She was the wife of Elzar Byron Holt, her husband of 56 years.
Born in Bristol and a lifelong resident, she was a daughter of the late Jose and Mary (Amaral) Santos. Lydia was a graduate of Colt Memorial High School, Bristol, Class of 1948. She was a supervisor for the Converse Rubber Company, formerly of Bristol and previously at the former Smith's Manufacturing Company, Bristol for many years retiring a number of years ago.
She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth's Church, Bristol and loved spending time with her beloved family.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Allan B. Holt and his wife, Robin of Swansea, MA and Kenneth J. Holt and his wife, Gina, of Bristol; five grandchildren, Joshua, Jonathan, Sarah, Jacob and Emma Holt; a brother, Joseph Santos of Morgantown, WV; three sisters, Matilda Daniels of Lompoc, CA, Louise Ricci of Warren, and Laura Hotchberg of Plainville, MA. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Costa.
Funeral services and burial will be private. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a Cancer Charity of the donor's choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Sansone Funeral Home of Bristol.
