Need For Donations Continues in Summer

Bristol Good Neighbors Soup Kitchen and Food Pantry constantly needs your help to feed and supply those in need.

In the winter, and especially around the holidays, donations tend to increase to local food pantries and charitable organizations, but donators sometimes forget that even in summer, the need to help feed the needy remains.

Bristol Good Neighbors Soup Kitchen and Food Pantry aims to help provide food for those less fortunate in the East Bay. The charitable group accepts donations throughout the year, and is always in need not just of food, but also supplies to serve those in need.

The soup kitchen recently received a donation of new aprons for the kitchen volunteers. Organization directors said they were thrilled to received the new aprons that will help volunteers in their charitable work. But the need continues. This week, the pantry's greatest need is for disposable diapers and boxes of macaroni and cheese.

Anyone wishing to donate to the charity can drop off their gifts to the kitchen at 378 Hope St. in Bristol Monday through Friday between 8a.m. and 2 p.m. Financial donations may be made through the organization's website at www.bristolgoodneighbors.org.
