New Grants Available for Programs that Enhance Bristol
As part of Roger Williams University's partnership with the town of Bristol, about $12,500 will be awarded this spring.
Local organizations and nonprofits looking for a financial boost have until April 15 to apply for grants through the Town of Bristol/Roger Williams University Cooperative Committee.
The funds are available for groups who offer programs that "enhance the civic experience and community life in Bristol," according to a statement released by the committee.

About $12,500 will be available through the committee, created as part of a $42-million Payment in Lieu of Taxes [PILOT] agreement signed between the town and university in 2007.
RWU also makes an annual payment of $150,000 to cover emergency services to the campus as part of the agreement.

In January, the , bringing the FCAs total to just over $120,000 given to 80 initiatives through eight award cycles.
