Karen G. (Sicignano) Coelho, 51, of 700 Metacom Ave., Warren, and formerly of Bristol, died Thursday, Aug. 30, at Rhode Island Hospital.

She was the wife of Robert Coelho, Jr., her husband of 28 years. Born in Providence and raised in Bristol, she was a daughter of Ann (Cavallaro) Paiva of Middletown and the late Andrew Sicignano. A resident of Warren for the past 18 months, she was a Bristol resident most of her life.

Karen was a graduate of Bristol High School, Class of 1978. She worked for a few years in the Sales Department of B.A. Ballou Co. of East Providence, retiring 19 years ago due to her cancer diagnosis, which she battled valiantly all these years. She loved spending time with her family and friends, loved time spent with her husband just walking through Colt State Park or on the East Bay Bike Path.

She is survived, in addition to her husband and mother, by two children, Jillian A. Hauger and her husband, John of Villa Park, IL, and Robert A. Coelho, of Newport; three grandsons, Jack, Jacob and Jett Hauger; her stepfather, Frank Paiva, of Middletown; her mother-in-law, Claudette Coelho of Warren; a brother, Andrew Sicignano of Cranston; and two sisters, Patricia Saviano and Susan Souza, both of Warren. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Robert Coelho, this past May.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial, Saturday, Sept. 8, at 11 a.m. in St. Elizabeth's Church, 577 Wood St., Bristol. Immediately following the Mass, everyone is invited to continue celebrating her life at the home of Lisa Dunbar, 13 Highview Road, Bristol. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
