Our Lady of Mt. Carmel teams get ready for First Lego League Competition, Jan. 10, 2013.

 

Among the 40 teams participating in today's 12th annual FIRST®LEGO® League Robotics State Championship will be two squads from Our Lady of Mount Carmel School in Bristol.

The competition is scheduled to kick off this morning at 11 am and include the Robot Game starting at 11:45 am at Roger Williams University.

Check out the accompanying video to see the work that the OLMC kids did to get ready for this year's event — and watch Bristol-Warren Patch on Monday for the results.

The team from Kickemuit Middle School also qualified for this competition and will be participating today.

Nice to see a little coverage of the private schools for a change .. they are just as much a part of the community as all the other children....
