Amaral's RI chowder. "Dirty chowdah". I've eaten chowders all my life and all over the East Bay. Amaral's RI chowder is my favorite. On Redmond St. in Warren.

The best chowder from Bristol/Warren was DEFINITELY from my grandparents' place, the Sandbar Restaurant, formerly on Hope Street near Topside which is now Agave. Now that they've been closed for almost a decade, the residents of this area have definitely been missing out on not only the best clam chowder around, but some of the best seafood dishes in the area.. I know many people can agree with me on this!

I don't even eat clams, but I work at Leo's and hear from the customers every day that our New England chowder is the best! Add Chef Robin's award winning Bristol Chowder (2nd place, creative category in the Newport Chowder Cookoff) and you can't lose!
