The Toy Shop Hosts Pumpkin Decorating Contest

Kids could win a $5, $10, or $25 gift card to The Toy Shop.

Halloween is just around the corner and wants your pumpkin creation to get the fame it deserves!

Wayne Kneeland, owner of The Toy Shop, said he wanted to do something different this year to encourage kids to show off their holiday artwork while decorating the storefront for the Downtown Bristol Merchant's annual Halloween Walkabout.

"I have two big display windows just waiting to be filled with pumpkins!" Kneeland said.

There is no cost and no age limit to enter a pumpkin into the "Great Pumpkin Decorating Contest." All you have to do is stop in the store during normal business hours between now and Saturday, Oct. 29, and drop off your creation. To make it safe, fair and fun for all, Kneeland asks that submissions are only decorated pumpkins and he will not be accepting carved pumpkins.

All entries will receive a prize, but the top three pumpkin artists will be awarded gift certificates to the store. The winners will be announced during the Halloween Walkabout on Oct. 30.
