Thursday: Concert, Mad Science, Book Signing

Today's weather should be clear, with a high of 85 degrees. Here are five other Here are five things you should know today in Bristol and Warren.

 

 

  1. The Bristol Historic District Commission meets at 7 pm, with Hope and State Street properties on the agenda.
  2. Mad Science comes to the George Hail Library, for kids 5-12, at 3 pm.
  3. Former Bristol resident Hans Schattle will sign and discuss his book, "Globalization & Citizenship," at 7 pm at the Rogers Free Library.
  4. The Bristol County Elks hold a fundraising chicken barbecue on Sunday afternoon, Aug. 5, at the Warren German-American Club.  Tickets may be purchased ahead of time.
  5. Tonight's Concert on the Bristol Town Common features Michael DiMucci and friends.
