Johnston native Angelo Marinosci discusses a new installation, his advice to young artists, and his work on a mural for St. Vartanantz Armenian Apostolic Church.

In the accompanying video, artist and Johnston native Angelo Marinosci Jr. speaks about completing an art installation that includes 50 separate pieces — many of which were recently on display at The Hope Gallery in Bristol and Gallery Z in Providence — and provides advice to younger artists.

At the end of the video is a brief audio clip and slideshow where Marinosci, who graduated from Johnston High School in 1965 and currently lives in Warren, speaks about how he and his five-year-old son, Arcangelo, helped St. Vartanantz Armenian Apolstolic Church with its new mural depicting the church's patron, St. Vartan, at the Battle of Avarayr.

I've been invited to my son, Arcangelo's, kindergarten class to read and perform for his class as well as the other Kindergarten class there at James Oldham Elementary School in Riverside, Rhode island. I'm quite pleased with the invitation....
In addition, I have been asked to speak at my old HS... Johnston High School... and truly look forward to that opertunity as well... thank you "patch."

Singer-songwriter- Angelo Marinosci, Jr, artist and retired University Professor will be performing AS THE FEATURED PERFORMER at the Custom House coffee in Portsmouth RI Sunday, 15 July 2012 as part of his regional performances across the summer... he will fill the room with his quirky original lyrics and tunes as he has in past performances.
ANGELO has performed as a regular at the "CUSTOM HOUSE" and plays the regional small audiences venues, coffee houses and places such as COMMON FENCE POINT... he is a native of Johnston, RI...resides in Warren, RI and also taught in the Cranston and Providence School Systems at several are Universities.
