VIDEO: Tour a Tom's Market; Tiverton Store Prepares to Open Early 2012
Executive Chef Jeff Lavoie gave Patch a tour of the Warren store last month.
With the "Coming Soon" sign going up recently, Tom's Market looks to open its doors at 492 Main Road in Tiverton the second week of January in 2012, according to Executive Chef Jeff Lavoie.
Lavoie gave Patch a tour of its store at 137 Child St., in Warren last month to show what they will be offering shoppers at their third location in Tiverton. The space, formerly a CVS, looks to take on Clements' Market in Portsmouth, Lees Market in Westport and the two large grocery stores sprawled in southern Fall River.
The Town Council approved the store's license in August.

I have yet to buy anything in Tom's that was not tasty and delicious! There is always something new to try when I go in there for some of the best specials around! There mashed 'purple' sweet potato was a delight. Their meat & fish are great and so are the guys behind the counter with suggestions and cuts to your preference. Everyone in the store is helpful and friendly which makes it a pleasure shopping there!

I love the store, I love the convience, the staff is super, the meat department is great, but I have to say, the prepared foods have not impressed me, the prices are high, the quality is blah.. and the variety never changes.. I miss cutler mills when it comes to the prepared foods. The prices were more reasonable, the taste was great and the varity changed from day to day which I enjoyed! I get bored with Tom's variety of prepared foods, and frankly can't afford it.
