Italian Coffee Bar Coming to Bristol!

Exciting news! We will soon have an authentic Italian coffee bar in Bristol specializing in exceptional Espresso, Cappuccino and pastries! Jen and Jason will hopefully have Angelina's open by the end of the month. They are located at 301 Hope St. in Bristol (where Roberto's was).

Bill and I stopped by yesterday and chatted with them and tried an espresso ...  Perfect! Their goal is to offer the BEST coffee in RI and with the help of their La Marzocco Strada espresso machine imported from Italy, they are well on their way. This machine is hand-made and there are only about four in the United States, and this is THE only one in Rhode Island.

To compliment the coffee there  will be several types of biscotti, scones and croisants, cookies, muffins, brownies and petit dejunier (mini bagette) with butter, jam or nutella.

Espresso has two meanings in classical Italian. One being, quick or rapid, and the second, something made especially for you. Thus, caffe espresso is a tiny cup of thick coffee made quickly, and especially for you, to the preference of the customer.

I had heard about a month or so ago that there was a new coffee shop opening in Bristol but this is beyond our wildest dreams!  Imagine! A little piece of Italy right here in Bristol — fantastico!

Awesome...meanwhile another consignment shop closed in Warren and will be replaced with another consignment shop...or is it a cash-for-gold store?

Once the streets are done the downtown will come back better than ever. If the
politicians will stay out of the small businesses' business.

Giordano, Thank you for your comment! I have checked with Jason and they do not plan to be serving gelato immediately but are contemplating adding it as time goes on. It will depend on the how great the demand is for this. I'm with you!! Gelato would be terrific!
Sorry I could not reply in Italian.....

Have you ever felt totally pampered while having your morning/evening coffee?? We all have our favorite coffee shops that we attend regularly and the coffee ranges from passable to great. But it is made in 5 gallon containers and dispensed to you in the exact same manner as everyone else.
Imagine a cup of coffee brewed JUST FOR YOU... Handcrafted, if you will. The experience can be had right now at Angelina's where you are treated with extreme individual care and attention. In this world of mass-produced items, and fast-paced service, you will find a period of short respite, which you will come to crave as time goes on.

The best way to insure that the hours are extended, and that maybe gelato is added to the menu is to give strong support to this establishment. Let's help them succeed!

Hi! This is Jason and Jen, Thanks to everyone for your support! Marina is absolutely rite, with your support we can both extend our hours and add things like desserts, including gelato. We will be looking to hire some additional staff in the near future so that we can stay open for the after dinner crowd. We look forward to serving you, see you soon!
