Summer Concerts Going Bye-Bye

In a recent article, an Eastbay paper ran a story stating due to buget cuts the Summer Concert Series may be a thing of the past. Why? No money.

When I, a lone person here in Warren, made mention of the holiday pay to town employees for May 4, I got laughed at by said employees who enjoyed their day off. Whatever the cost to have town employees sit home on May 4, those dollars saved if they had worked might be enough to fund the concert series, fix ball parks, roads and sidewalks, plow sidewalks, and anything else that gets put aside when our town officials say there's no money!

By the way how much is the former town manger getting to assist the present manger with bonds? Again, all I can say is the taxpayers of Warren need to wake up and make changes.

My vote goes to the concert series. Fourteen days off by town employees with holiday pay is excessive.

I fail to see logic in your argument.

If the town employees did not have May 4'th off as a piad holiday, then they would have been at work -still being paid-

yes, but they receive time and half for the holdiday pay, hence regular time, thats were the money is being wasted.
