This week we had a tie!
The results are in and two local restaurants actually tied for the best spot to have brunch with mom on Mother's Day! Both DeWolf Tavern and the Wharf Tavern received 25 percent of the poll votes. With no comments on the article to break the tie, we turned to the Dewolf Tavern and Wharf Taven directory listings. While each restaurant had a great review, the Wharf Tavern received 5 out of 5 stars by the reviewer, one star over the review of DeWolf Tavern. Saying that allowing people under age 21 to go to nightclubs that serve alcohol is "a breeding ground for trouble," State Rep. Joy Hearn (D-Barrington, East Providence) has introduced a bill to stop the practice. Currently, Bristol and Warren do not have any under-21 nightclubs in town but with Roger Williams University located right in Bristol, underage drinking is always a concern for local law enforcement. Hearn's bill is scheduled for a hearing by the House Judiciary Committee this afternoon. "I’ve introduced this bill before, but never has this been a more critical problem than it is today with all of the violence happening at our nightclubs," Hearn said in a press release. Hearn noted the recent violence at a downtown Providence …

Vote in our poll below, then share your thoughts in the comments section. If we left your favorite brunch spot off the list, note that in the comments as well. We'll leave the poll up all week then close voting at 9 a.m. Friday. At noon that day, we'll share your top local pick. Then be sure to watch …

You need an artistic arrangement from the people who know the trade best. So where do you go to find the best blooms? Patch wanted to help readers decide which florists create the best arrangements in town. We asked readers throughout the state which shop in their town is their favorite. After five days of voting, the winners are in. Check out which florists…
