Greater Tiverton Community Chorus Presents, A Celtic Christmas Concert Series!

Cathy Clasper-Torch guest fiddler and Phil Edmonds on Penny Whistle

The Greater Tiverton Community Chorus announces their upcoming concert series titled, A Celtic Christmas.  This concert promises to be a joy for all who attend with several guest musicians including Cathy Clasper-Torch on Fiddle and Phil Edmonds on Penny Whistle.  From traditional pieces such as a Celtic Silent Night to a holiday version of Danny Boy to the familiar tune of Suo Gan, audiences will be entertained throughout and begging for more!

The public is welcome to attend performances held on:

  • Friday, December 7, 7:30pm at St. Michael’s Episcopal Church, 399 Hope Street, Bristol, RI
  • Saturday, December 8, 7:30pm at St. John the Baptist Church, 945 Main Road, Westport, MA
  • Sunday, December 9, 3:00 at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church, 265 Stafford Road, Tiverton, RI

Tickets are $12.00 at the door, with children 16 and under admitted free.  For information please call (401)253-7987, email bestar3@cox.net, or visit them on the web at www.gtcchorus.org or www.facebook.com/gtcchorus.com.  This concert is bound to pull in a full house!   The Greater Tiverton Community Chorus is 501(c)3 organization made up of 80 members from 16 communities in the southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island area.

St. Michael's Episcopal Church is one of the four original colonial parishes in Rhode Island. It hosts regular worship services, religious education and ministries. A nursery is provided for children age 3 and younger every Sunday starting at 9:45am in the Tildesley building.

The church has a large music program, which includes 3 choirs, an organist, a handbell section and special instrumentalists which play during services and special programs throughout the year. The church is involved in various outreach programs such as the Faith Walk for Charity, the Health Ministry and the BGN Soup Kitchen.
