The Bay View Academy Chamber Chorus, under the direction of Christine Kavanagh (Barrington, RI) and accompanied by Diane Gualtieri (Warwick, RI), is bringing holiday cheer and vocal styling to both the RISD Museum in Providence and Daisy Dig’ins in Barrington this weekend. 

On Saturday, 24 members of the Chamber Chorus will perform a program of festive holiday music at 3:00pm at Daisy Dig’ins, a flower and gift shop on Maple Avenue in Barrington, RI, coinciding with the Barrington Christmas tree lighting.

Sunday at 1:45pm, 32 members of the Chamber Chorus will be performing a half hour set of holiday songs at the RISD Museum in Providence.  The performance will take place in the Grand Gallery and is part of the Museum’s Holiday Celebration, an annual event that incorporates refreshments, crafts, readings, choir and dance performances, and a visit from Santa Claus.

The Bay View Academy Chamber Chorus is composed of students in grades 7 through 12.  The girls rehearse in class, twice a week after school, participate in school liturgies and concerts, and perform at various locations around Rhode Island and Southeastern Massachusetts.
