DESCRIPTION:Please join us for a Book Discussion of "Man's Search for Mea
 ning" by Viktor E. Frankl on Wednesday\, February 6\, 2013 from 6-8 PM a
t St. John's Church in the Field Hall.&nbsp\; Bring a sandwich &amp\; be
 verage. Child Care provided.&nbsp\; Viktor Frankl's wife\, father\, moth
er and brother died in the concentration camps in Nazi Germany.&nbsp\; E
nduring extreme hunger\, cold and brutality\, first in Auschwitz then Da
chau\, Frankl himself was under constant threat of going to the gas oven
s.&nbsp\; He lost every physical belonging on his first day in the camps
and was forced to surrender a scientific manuscript he considered his l
ife's work. This is\, if ever ther was one\, a story that could excuse a
person's belief that life is meaningless and suicide a reasonable optio
n.&nbsp\; Yet having been lowered into the pits of humanity\, Frankl eme
rged an optimist.&nbsp\; His reasoning was that even in the most terribl
e circumstances\, a person still has the freedom to choose how they see
their circumstances and create meaning out of them. Books available at B
 arrington Books and Amazon.com.
