Kick Line Performance
Students from 6 area dance studios will be performing a Kick Line routine together to be entered into the National Dance Weeks Celebration of the Rockettes 85th Anniversary competition. The directors from Danceworks, Extensions, Just Dance, Rosemary's (Warren and Tiverton studios), Shannon's, and The Ballet Center collaborated together on this project and put together the choreography, and are teaching students from their respective schools, who will then dance it together for the frist time at Colts Park on Friday, Nov. 23rd at 2:00 pm. (Rain date is Nov 25). They will videotape the performance and post it on You-Tube and have it entered in the "Longest Line" category. The teachers are projecting to have 100-150 students performing together. The Rockettes will be judging all of the videos entered from Dec 3-10. The studio directors' purpose is not to win any contest, but to promote Teamwork and Fun Fitness among the students in this community.
