They Wore The Red Suit

We are holding 3 private screenings of the upcoming documentary They Wore The Red Suit at the Bristol Statehouse as a fundraiser for the film to be entered into Film Festivals in 2013.

The film features Bristol’s James (Jim) D. Rielly, known for his kindness, generosity, and charitable acts, but most notably as Rhode Island’s Most Famous Santa Claus for 62 years.

If you have ever been to Rockwell Park or driven down Hopeworth Avenue, you may have seen his name on a bench or a street sign.

Seating is limited so be sure to purchase tickets early. You can purchase tickets online @ www.bristolscreening.brownpapertickets.com or if you are in the Bristol area, please contact Michael Rielly at 401-965-5985.

Depending on availability, tickets may be purchased at the door for $20.

Dates and Times are as follows:
March 9th – 1pm and 7pm
March 10th – 2pm

About James D. Rielly

Throughout his Santa Claus career, Jim Rielly took no money for his appearances. He was featured in hundreds of newspapers, magazines, and on national television shows and received letters from celebrities, dignitaries, Presidents, and His Holiness, Pope John Paul II.

In 1979, his name was recorded in the United States Senate Congressional Record as “James D. Rielly, A Truly Remarkable Santa Claus from Rhode Island.”

In December 2010, James D. Rielly was honored as one of the original 14 inaugural inductees into the prestigious International Santa Claus Hall of Fame (www.santaclaushall.com) in Santa Claus, Indiana.
