DESCRIPTION:Four acclaimed choreographers will perform original works wit
 h the Roger Williams University Dance Theatre troupe in a presentation o
 f Dance Theatre &ldquo\;In Concert&rdquo\; at Roger Williams University.
   &nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;
 &nbsp\; From Thursday\, December 6 through Sunday\, December 9\, members
  of the public are invited to attend the season-ending production of the
  Roger Williams University Dance Theatre.  &nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&
 nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\; The renowned guest arti
 sts performing with RWU Dance Theatre are Sean Curran\, Helen Simoneau\,
  Kathy Gordon Smith and alumna Jane Leary. Dance students have been work
 ing with these guest artists on the upcoming performance\, as well as re
 hearsing with faculty and student choreographers all semester for the pr
 oduction of Dance Theatre &ldquo\;In Concert.&rdquo\; &nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbs
 p\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\; Sean Curran 
 has taught extensively at the American Dance Festival\, Bates Dance Fest
 ival\, Harvard Summer Dance Center\, and the Boston Conservatory of Musi
 c. He will perform &ldquo\;Here Now\,&rdquo\; a performance created in m
 emory of Kelly Wicke Davis\, the founder of the Roger Williams Universit
 y Dance Department and a close friend of Curran&rsquo\;s.&nbsp\;  &nbsp\
 ;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\; 
 Canadian choreographer Helen Simoneau has performed her choreography at 
 several international dance festivals and won numerous awards in North A
 merica and Europe. She will perform &ldquo\;Flight Distance II&rdquo\; w
 ith students she has been working with throughout the semester. &nbsp\;&
 nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\; Th
 e choreography of Kathy Gordon Smith\, faculty artist and choreographer 
 at Rhode Island College\, has been described as stylish and athletic. Sh
 e has worked with students over several weeks on &ldquo\;Hello Only Ends
  in Goodbye\,&rdquo\; which is set to an original composition by RWU Dan
 ce and Performance Studies accompanist\, Michael DeQuattro.  &nbsp\;&nbs
 p\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\; RWU a
 lumna Jane Leary&rsquo\;s piece\, &ldquo\;How Sweet the Sound\,&rdquo\; 
 reflects her curiosity and exploration of the definition of &ldquo\;grac
 e.&rdquo\; The sound score is a collaborative compilation of the dancers
 &rsquo\; voices sharing their thoughts of what grace means to them. Lear
 y lives in New York City and is performing and choreographing profession
 ally. &nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nb
 sp\;&nbsp\; In addition to works presented by these guest artists\, ther
 e will also be works performed by RWU dance faculty members France Hunte
 r and Gary Shore and original choreographed performances by dance majors
  Nicole DeWolfe\, Kelsey Heineman and AshleyAnne Brown.  &nbsp\;&nbsp\;&
 nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\; Dance The
 atre &ldquo\;In Concert&rdquo\; performances will take place in the Perf
 orming Arts Center on the University&rsquo\;s Bristol campus at One Old 
 Ferry Road. Evening performances begin at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday\, Decemb
 er 6\, Friday\, December 7\, and Saturday\, December 8. Matinee performa
 nces begin at 2 p.m. on Saturday\, December 8 and Sunday\, December 9.

 bsp\; The event is open to the public\; tickets are $10 for general admi
