DESCRIPTION:Lucas Mason-Brown is the cryptographer who recently deciphere
 d a handwritten code developed by Roger Williams that he wrote in the ma
 rgins of books. Historians call the now-readable writings the most signi
 ficant addition to Williams's scholarship in a generation or more. Willi
 ams is Rhode Island's founder and best known as a proponent for the sepa
 ration of church and state\, an idea that would later be enshrined in th
 e Bill of Rights. An informal reception will follow the event.The event 
 is free and open to the public\; it will be held in the RWU Library's Ma
 ry Tefft White Cultural Center.&nbsp\;
