Don't miss out on these quick facts you should know if you are in Bristol or Warren on Wednesday, July 24.

Wake up with Bristol-Warren Patch every day and never miss out on what you need to know around town.

From meetings to events to top news items, Bristol-Warren Patch has you covered.

1. Learn the secrets of stop-motion cinematography with RIMOSA's make-your-own stop-motion workshop. The Rhode Island Museum of Science and Art presents "Cut-Paper Animation: The Art and Science of Visual Perception" at 6 pm in the Herreshoff Community Room. Explore the visual effect of animation that allows us to create elaborate illusions of life and motion using 2-D puppetd.  This workshop is for students in middle school and high school. The films will be uploaded to the RIMOSA website.
2. Didn't you know it's 'Save a Life Wednesday?' Today the R.I. Blood Center will conduct a regular blood drive at 11:30 a.m. in the parking lot behind North Campus Residence Hall at Roger Williams University, which can be accessed from the entrance on Metacom Avenue. Look for the Bloodmobile parked behind the North Campus Residence Hall. All donors should hydrate before donating and bring a copy of their driver's license or other form of identification. Your donation can help save a life!
3. Get your little geniuses ready for a day exploring with the Mad Scientist. Mad Science will amaze you as they dig into the layers of the earth to see its make-up & investigate how scientists evaluate what they find. The event starts in the Herreshoff Community Room and runs from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.
4. Missing out on fresh vegetables? Trying to get back into nature? Warren residents who are interested in gardening at the Town Farm or who would like to donate their time, resources or expertise, should contact the Town Farm and Gardens Coordinator, Melissa Maia at warrencommunitygarden@gmail.com. If you are interested in growing, you will need to fill out an application.
5. Don't forget your umbrella! Scattered showers and thunderstorms will continue today, although mainly after 1 p.m., according the National Weather Service forecast for Wednesday, July 24. Patchy fog before 8am. Otherwise, mostly sunny, with a high near 85
