Birds of a Feather Migrate Together, Musical Worlds and More

Five things to know on Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2013 in Bristol and Warren.

1. Birds of a feather flock together: Dr. Matthew Perry will share his knowledge of bird migration and their seasonal movements today, Aug. 14 at the Bristol Garden Club meeting. The club meets in the Herreshoff Room at the Rogers Free Library from 1 - 3:30 p.m.

2. A world of music: Engage your little ones in a world of music today at Rhythm Imaginarium with Rick Morin at the Rogers Free Library. Bring your youngsters (ages 4 and up) to the Herreshoff Community Room today from 10:30 - 11:30 a.m. and see what the fuss is all about.

3. The East Bay Knitters Club will meet today, Wednesday, Aug. 14, in the Quiet Study Room at the Bristol Public Library, located at 5 High St. Drop in from 12:30 - 3:30 p.m. to share your knitting knowledge.

Currently town officials are seeking volunteers to fill vacant positions on the following boards and commissions:

  • Economic Development Board
  • Voluntary Historic Committee - Board of Appeals 
  • Conservation Commission 
5. The Warren Municipal Court will meet tonight, Wednesday, Aug. 14 at 6 p.m. in Town Council Chambers.
