Farms Host Times, Seeking Players Who Shine

Prep Your Pie: Mt. Hope Farm's Steak Fry and Pie Baking Contest starts at 6 p.m. Friday. Adults and kids menus available. $100 cash prize for first place pie. $10 entry fee for two pies.

Weekend, Pt. 2:
Try to sleep off the steak and pie and wake yourself in time for Coggeshall Farm Museum's Annual Harvest Fair. Set for Saturday and Sunday, adult admission is just $8, $5 for young'ins and elders, under 3 free. Can't wait for the muck boot fashion show.  

Getting Tuned: The Community String Project is taking registrations for fall classes at Mt. Hope High School starting at 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 12.

Plant It: Save it to your calendar now — the Bristol Blooms campaign kick-off is set for Sept. 17 at 6 p.m.. $15 donation at the door.

Warmer: Thursday's forecast for Bristol and Warren is for partly cloudy skies and lots of wind with high temps in the 80s. Overnight lows near 70 with a chance of thunderstorms.
