Magic at the Library, Fused Glass Workshop and More
Five things to get you through the day on Wednesday, Aug. 7 in Bristol and Warren.
1. It's Magic! Join the Great Baldini & his assistant Skinny on a magical journey as they dig into reading today at the Rogers Free Library. Dazzle your youngsters from 10:30 - 11:30 a.m. today. This program is for ages 4 and older.
2. Fused Glass Workshop for Teens. Wednesday, August 7 is the date for the Deenie Pacik Giuliano's Fused Glass Workshop for middle and high school students. The workshop will be in the Herreshoff Community Room at the Rogers Free Library at 6:30 p.m.
Come to try out glass designing in this fun class. Learn to design beautiful pendants with pre-cut dichronic glass, as well as powder and frit made from crushed glass. Tools will be provided. Please come! If you want to reserve a spot, please call the library at 253-6948 and ask for Charlotte.
3. Don't drop a stitch. The East Bay Knitters Club will meet today in the Quiet Study Room at the Rogers Free Library. Join your fellow knitters/neighbors from 12:30 - 3:30 p.m.
4. Tomorrow: Cicilline will take a chance to chat with Bristol and Warren residents for a neighborhood conversation on Thursday, August 8th, at 5:30 p.m. at the Bristol Public Library. This forum will be an opportunity to discuss Congressman Cicilline's work in Washington, as well as an opportunity to ask questions, voice opinions, or express any concerns you have regarding issues like:
- A jobs and manufacturing agenda for Rhode Island
- Protecting the guarantee of Medicare and Social Security
- Honoring our responsibilities to our veterans
- Keeping student loan rates low
- Achieving comprehensive immigration reform
