Mt. Hope Teams Swim; Kids Cook at Blithewold; Contra Dance

Here are some things to know about today in Bristol and Warren.

Here are some things to know about today, Dec. 19, in Bristol and Warren: 

  • Partly cloudy with temperatures topping out near 42 degrees.
  • Blithewold Mansion, Gardens and Arboretum hosts a cooking class for kids ages 6 and up, who will make edible art – cookies to be decorated for the holiday. The class starts at 4 pm; there is a $20 fee.
  • The final East Bay Contra dance of 2013 features the band, South Coast. It starts at 7:30 pm at the Warren Community Center, 790 Main St. Come with a friend or by yourself; only $5.
  • Mt. Hope High School’s girls’ basketball team hosts Middletown High at 6:30 pm at the gymnasium off of Chestnut Street in Bristol.
  • The boys’ and girls’ swimming teams at Mt. Hope High School host the squads from Middletown High at the Roger Williams University pool at 6:30 pm.
