Thursday Night Write; Legos at Library; Lots of Mt. Hope Sports

Here are some things to know about today in and around Bristol and Warren.

Here are a few things to know about today, Jan. 9, in and around Bristol and Warren:

  • Mostly sunny and a bit warmer with a high temperature near 31 degrees.
  • Thursday Night Write for adults and teens meets in the Rogers Free Library, 525 Hope St., at 6 pm. Go to the Quiet Study Room on the main floor.
  • Legos at the Library meets every Thursday from 3:30 to 4:30 pm in the Herreshoff Community Room of the Rogers Free Library, 525 Hope St.  It’s open for children and teens aged 4 and up. 
  • The wrestling team at Mt. Hope High School tangles with La Salle Academy in Providence at the McLaughlin Athletic Center at 7 pm.
  • The girls’ indoor track team at Mt. Hope High races against Smithfield High at the Providence Career and Technical Academy at 5:30 pm.
  • The freshman boys’ basketball team at Mt. Hope High travels to Tiverton High for a game at 3:30 pm.
