Town Council Meetings, Libraries Offering Programs

Here are some things you may want to know about today in Bristol and Warren.

Here are a few things to know about today, Oct. 8, in and around Bristol and Warren:

  • The Bristol Town Council holds a special meeting tonight, Oct. 8, at 7 pm in the Burnside Memorial Building, 400 Hope St.
  • The Warren Town Council also meets tonight, Oct. 8, for its regular monthly meeting in Town Hall; it starts at 7 pm in the Council Chamber.
  • This week's installment of the Roger Williams University "Talking in the Library" series features archeologist Alan Leveillee speaking about ancient native American tribes. It starts at 4:30 p.m. in the RWU library. 
  • The Bristol-Warren School District Wellness Committee meets at 4 pm in the Herreshoff Community Room in the Rogers Free Library, 525 Hope St.
  • The Literacy Volunteers of the East Bay meet at 6:30 pm in the Rogers Free Library, 525 Hope St.
  • Drop by the Rogers Free Library today and help celebrate its fifth anniversary in the new facility and enjoy a display of cider and pastries.
