Warren Town Council Meets; Franklin Court Hosts Open House

Here are some things to know about today in Bristol and Warren.

Here are some things you may want to know about today, Dec. 10, in and around Bristol and Warren:

  • Snow showers in the morning will give way to a mix of rain and snow in the afternoon with a high temperature of 36 degrees.
  • The Warren Town Council meets at 7 pm in the Council Chamber in Town Hall, 514 Main St.
  • Franklin Court Assisted Living, 180 Franklin St., Bristol, hosts an open house  from 10 am to 4 pm. Operated by East Bay Community Development Corporation, Franklin Court is a full-service assisted living community for people who need assistance with activities of daily living and want to enjoy a variety of social activities.
  • A chess class for young beginners meets from 3:30 to 4:30 pm at the Rogers Free Library, 525 Hope St. Classes are led by volunteers in the Herreshoff Community Room.
  • The Friends of the Rogers Free Library meet in the library at 6:45 pm in the Herreshoff Community Room.
  • The Providence Singers hold auditions by appointment at the RI Philharmonic Carter Center in East Providence, 667 Waterman Ave). To schedule an appointment, send an email to chorus@providencesingers.org.
