Watch 'Hope Springs' at Library; Teen Book, Chess Clubs Meet

Here are some things to know about today, Jan. 15, in and around Bristol and Warren:

  • Mostly sunny with a few afternoon clouds and temperatures getting up close to 50 degrees.
  • Wednesday Night at the Movies at the Rogers Free Library, 525 Hope St., shows ‘Hope Springs” at 7 pm in the Herreshoff Community Room; it stars Tommy Lee Jones, Meryl Streep and Steve Carrell.
  • A free flu shot clinic will be held at Mt. Hope High School from 5 to 8 pm.
  • The Mt. Hope High School wrestling team hosts South Kingstown High at 7 pm.
  • The Bristol Fourth of July Committee meets at 7 pm in the Burnside Building, 400 Hope St.
  • The Chess Club for all ages and skill levels gathers at 6 pm in the Quiet Study Room of Rogers Free Library.
  • The Teen Book Club meets at 7 pm in the Rogers Free Library with “The Death Collector” by Justin Richards this week’s featured book.
