Do You Belong in Rhode Island?
New study reveals the mood of each state and lets you know which is ideal for you.
If you're a neurotic person who likes to argue but is open to new ideas, Rhode Island is truly the place for you.
A new "mood map" featured on the TIME website shows ratings for each state based on dominant personality traits and attitudes. Rhode Island ranked as the 7th most neurotic state in the country and the 8th most "open." On the other hand, the state ranked near the bottom — 45th — in "agreeableness."
The TIME map and quiz are based on a study published in the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology. The online quiz asks 10 questions about how people see themselves. The website then compares your answers to state averages and lets you know what state is ideal for your personality. Click here to take the quiz on the TIME website.
