Portsmouth Man Grows Biggest of Giants

Bob Singleton of Portsmouth won the 2013 Southern New England Giant Pumpkin Growers title on Saturday, Oct. 12, at Frerichs Farm in Warren. He took the title with a 1,426-pound pumpkin at the 21st annual weigh-off. A 1,289-pound pumpkin grown by Ed Giarusso of Prudence Island took fourth place.
