The show is an adaptation of the fairy tale, “The Little Mermaid.” It is described as non-stop song and dance with Caribbean-style, contemporary music from Tony Award winners Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty. It is directed by Richard Bento.

The show tells the story of a peasant girl, Ti Moune, who rescues and then falls in love with a wealthy boy, Daniel, from the other side of the island. When Daniel returns to his people, the gods who rule the island send Ti Moune on a quest against prejudice, hatred and death to test her love for him.
