Police Expand Search for Missing Portsmouth Teen

An Amber Alert has been issued for a missing Portsmouth girl, 13.

The Rhode Island State Police issued an Amber Alert on Wednesday afternoon, seeking leads in the disappearance of 13-year-old Kathryn Botelho, of Portsmouth.

A CodeRed alert about the missing girl was issued Wednesday just before 11:30 a.m. 

Botelho was last seen in the area of Ferry Landing Circle in Portsmouth. 

According to the Amber Alert, she was last seen leaving 59 Ferry Landing Circle on Wednesday morning with a man unknown to the family.

Botelho is described as a white girl, 4'11" tall and 110 lbs., with blonde hair and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing a black skirt and a blue sapphire Alex and Ani bracelet. 

Police say she is possibly accompanying a white man, 40 to 50 years old, and traveling in a red four-door Chrysler Sebring with an unknown registration number and possible New Jersey license plates.
