Warren jewelry artist LeeAnn Herreid debuts a new necklace design on Saturday , Nov. 2, at the MUSE store, 420 Main St., Warren.
The new necklace allows people to customize their purchase with their own “cocktail” of gemstones. Herreid is the founder of Individual Icons of Warren.
A reception complete with actual cocktails and on hand assistance from the artist will be held from 5 – 8 pm.
The necklace also features a clear circular locket enclosure. MUSE will have multiple gem options in various shapes and sizes on hand for people to choose from as they mix and match their piece.
Additionally, customers may bring their old or broken jewelry to repurpose into a new creation. Herreid, a certified gemologist, will be there as “mixologist” to advise about the type and quality of the stones.
The necklace design will not be available elsewhere and is exclusive to MUSE.
Herreid is a 1991 graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) in jewelry and light metals. Two years after graduation, Herreid founded Individual Icons. The name goes right to the point of Herreid's art: jewelry that gives the wearer an expression of personal meaning by being both symbolic and beautiful, according to a press release.
MUSE’s collection is all made in America and includes jewelry by nationally-recognized artists, eco-friendly baby gifts, awesome affordable art, cards, and more, according to the press release.
