The parking ban in Bristol was lifted by the police around noon after crews finished clearing snow from most streets early Wednesday after an overnight snowstorm brought everything to a halt.
Bitter cold accompanied the 8-inch snowfall, with temperatures expected to stay in the teens most of the day and then drop into the single digits tonight.
At least one Bristolian didn't seem to mind the cold or snow. He rode his bike to the Dunkin' Donuts for a hot coffee and a favorite pastry Wednesday as cars started to return to Hope Street in downtown Bristol.
