Tuesday: BankNewport Book Drive, Clambake Ticket Deadline

Here are five things you should know today in Bristol and Warren.

  1. Today will be mostly sunny with a high of 91 degrees.
  2. Yoga is offered at Blithewold in Bristol this morning.
  3. BankNewport is holding a children's book drive through July 21, at the bank branches. All of the books collected will be distributed Aug. 18 as part of Bank Newport's sponsorship of the Back to School Celebration RI event at CCRI in Newport.   4. Coggeshall Farm in Bristol hosts a Kids in the Kitchen program every Wednesday and Sunday from 10 am to 1 pm for kids ages 6-18. Learn how to cook farm-raised produce over the fire.  Pre-registration is necessary; call 253-9062. The cost is $20 per person.
  5. St. Mary of the Bay Church's Annual Summer Clambake is Sunday, July 22 at 1 pm at the Pete Se pe Pavilion in Warren. Bakemaster is Spencer Hackley; tickets are $25 - if you don't have tickets yet, contact the church office by today, July 17 at 245-7000, Ext. 17 or e-mail stmaryofthebay@aol.com.
