The Newport House Tour is back!
The 2014 Neighborhoods of Newport House Tour will provide exclusive entry to
seven private homes in Newport including “Hillside”, a stunning Shingle Style
home designed by Peabody & Stearns currently featured in RI Monthly for its
amazing display of over 150,000 daffodils.
The event is a fundraiser for St. Michael's Country Day School and the
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Center in Newport. Other houses include the
Preservation Society of Newport property “Isaac Bell House”, one of two 1883 –
1886 houses by architects McKim, Mead & White; and new home "Wind
Shadows" on a 15-acre property in the famed
Ocean Drive area of Newport designed by Ronald F. DiMauro Architects.

The Paradise Farmhouse at Norman Bird Sanctuary will be the setting for a
reception and book signing by California-based celebrity designer Barclay
Butera (www.barclaybutera.com)
from 2:00 to 5:00. Tickets are $60 in advance, $50 each for 4 or more, and $75
