84th Annual Harvest Moon Bazaar

This isn't your Grandma's Church Bazaar (though Grandma will love it too)!

We've got some really

special things going on this year.

We have an exciting Silent Auction (with an online catalog that can be viewed at fccauction.weebly.com) that includes an original Renoir etching. We had it examined by Skinner Auctions who confirmed it was an "original" etching, made using the original plate. It was done in the 1950s. The donor purchased it in Paris in the 1960s. We also have a lot of other original art donated by the same person (the donor once managed a gallery in London). And there's a signed Red Sox baseball and many tickets to area cultural events among the many auction treasures. This year entertainment is being provided throughout the day by a storyteller (Sug Grant), the Mt. Hope High School Chorus, members of the Community String Project and FCC's own James Thomas. We're expecting a visit from Santa on an antique 1947 fire truck. In exchange for a toy or monetary donation to the East Bay Food Pantry (to assist in the Holiday Toy Drive for needy children), folks can have their picture taken with Santa. People should bring their own cameras. There will be childcare available while parents shop the bazaar. Children will be making a holiday gift or ornament.

The 84th Annual Harvest Moon Bazaar will take place at Bristol's First Congregational Church on November 16th from 10 AM - 3PM. Booths will include the Country Store, Jewelry Shop, Bakery, Women's Guild, Floral/Dried Arrangements, Attic Treasures and more. Luncheon will feature the lobster roll sandwich!
