Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island to Host Healthcare Reform Seminar for Uninsured

With the deadline for direct pay and exchange enrollment approaching on December 23, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Rhode Island (BCBSRI) will host a healthcare reform seminar for uninsured individuals and families on Wednesday, December 11, 2013.

Direct pay health insurance is available to individuals and families in Rhode Island who do not otherwise have access to health insurance through an employer and do not qualify for Medicare or Medicaid.

At the seminar, Blue Cross representatives and HealthSource RI staff will be on hand to help attendees:

•Review their health plan options,
•Determine if they are eligible for financial help, and
•Answer any questions about enrollment or the new requirements of the Affordable Care Act.

The event will be held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, 801 Greenwich Avenue in Warwick, from 5:30 p.m. – 8 p.m.  Those interested in attending should register at BCBSRI.com/healthcarereform or call 401-459-1110. Light refreshments will be served.
