Shelley Puhak is the author of "Stalin in Aruba," winner of the 2010 Towson Prize for Literature, and the chapbook, "The Consolation of Fairy Tales," winner of the 2011 Stephen Dunn Prize. Her poems have appeared in several prestigious literary journals and anthologies. Puhak is assistant professor of English at Notre Dame of Maryland University in Baltimore. She is featured in the 9th year of National Poetry Month @ RWU, and her program is co-sponsored by the RWU Alive! Arts Program and the RWU Department of English Literature and Creative Writing.
